Patricia Van Leuven received her Ph.D. in sociology with a specialization in demography from the University of Cincinnati. After 8 years of teaching in this field at Northern Kentucky University and IPFW, she shifted her work toward more applied arenas in the not-for-profit community. She has experience with needs assessments, grant writing, program evaluation, demographic trend analysis and survey research and has provided these services to such agencies as the Women’s Bureau, the YWCA, CANI, and United Hispanic Americans. In 1995, she joined the staff of the Women’s Bureau as the Director of Research and Development and she assisted in the implementation of the Transitions Program. From 1997 to 2000, she served as the first Executive Director of the Drug and Alcohol Consortium of Allen County. She returned to the Women’s Bureau in August, 2000 in the role of Outcomes/Quality Assurance Specialist. She continues to be active in the community through her participation on the Boards of Park Center and Washington House Treatment Center. |
