Jowanna Hoya was born and raised in Fort Wayne, and graduated from Wayne High School in 1982.  In 1996, she entered the Women's Bureau's AWAC (Addicted Women and Children) program followed by the Transitions program, both of which she successfully completed.  Since then, she has earned an Associate's degree in Human Services from Ivy Tech State College and expects to earn her Bachelor's degree in Human Service Management from Indiana Tech University in May, 2007.  Jowanna has worked in the human service field for the past 10 years, and has founded a women's support group for single women and mothers.  Jowanna is married, has 4 beautiful children, and a handsome grandson.  "My passion is to encourage and support women in any way possible, and the Transitions program allows me to do that."
